This is one of the best places around. Great beer selection, great food, and great people. If this place was in Manhattan it would be on the top of the list of reviews. If you have never been there go now, you can thank me later.

I have been frequenting Adobe Blues for over 10 years but was never online til now. The "awesomes" you see everyone checking off for all the categories is no coincidence or joke. Joe Cogan (below) and I are pretty much like Norm from Cheers, always there. The bar staff is the friendliest, and warmest bunch i've seen on Staten Island. The food is authentic Tex-Mex like you've never had with a variety of salsas and HOT pepper sauces to use; and there is a beer list of 20 to 30 different beer categories from about 30 different countries all around the world depending on your mood. There's live Jazz and Blues music on Wed, Fri and Sat nites. The atmosphere is very warm and comfortable and newcomers adapt very quickly. I highly recommend tryin' it out.

I was there last year and enjoyed the food and service.I came with friends and they too will be coming here on a regular basis.I came all the way from west coast again this year to savor this delicious food. My friends fortunately live on staten island so they are able to enjoy the food at adobe blues any time they want. I will be back in may to once again have very authentic mexican food .Its as mexican as the food here in california and mexico.

To clarify, Adobe Blues is in Staten Island, and has been around for a long, long time. The food is awesome, the live entertainment is always something to groove to, and one can hardly beat the beer selection. The Drunken Mexican Shrimp is my strongest recommendation, a perfect accompaniment to any beer you might choose.

In one word----------GO!!! My wife and I were in NYC on 12/28/02. For giggles we took the Staten Island Ferry and took a bus(it stops right in front of A-B). Had a few beers(what a selection!) Harpoon's Winter Warmer was on tap. We ate lunch, had a few laughs with Joe our bartender, and we overall had a good time in a couple of hours. This is one of the few times we did not do a pub crawl while in NYC--this was our only stop--as this is my last review for 2002--Happy New Year eyeryone!!!

The place is huge, and perfect for those who want to chat at the bar as well as sit at tables. A great place to go with friends, excellent atmosphere, highly recommend it.

Generally over 250 bottled beers available, second only to the Peculiar Pub in the NYC area. Large selection of Belgian beers. Great Tex-Mex food available. Beautiful Old West exterior and interior. Not to mention home of the 99 Beer Club and Jake the one-eyed snake!
